Countdown to January 6, 2025

On January 6th, 2021, Americans across the country watched in horror as a violent mob attacked our nation’s Capitol, the bedrock of American democracy.

Congress has a responsibility to stand up for our democracy and safeguard the integrity of our election system. Instead, MAGA extremists have chosen to undermine our democracy at every juncture:

• Instead of building faith in our democracy, they spread the Big Lie and voted against certifying the 2020 election results. 
• Instead of explicitly condemning the insurrection, they have minimized or even condoned the political violence on January 6. 
• And instead of protecting each and every American’s ability to vote and have their vote counted, they are pushing legislation that would make it harder for people to vote and make our elections less safe.

With the possibility that the U.S. House of Representatives could have a role to play in determining the 2024 Presidential Election if no single candidate receives a majority 270 electoral votes, the stakes for our Democracy have never been higher.

The clock is ticking until January 6, 2025, when Congress will be tasked with certifying the 2024 election results. Before it’s too late—join us in calling on our elected leaders to protect our democracy and safeguard our election systems.
