Courage for America Launches Six Figure TV Ad Buy Slamming MAGA Republicans on January 6th Anniversary

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Courage for America launched a new TV ad campaign slamming key MAGA extremists for their role in attempting to overturn the 2020 election results and for continuing to spread the Big Lie. The ads will run through January 19th in AZ-01, CA-27, CA-41, MO-08, NC-09, NY-04, OH-04, WI-03 and VA-02 on Good Morning America. The ads feature former Metropolitan Police Officer Michael Fanone, who was seriously injured on January 6th while defending the U.S. Capitol.

“January 6 was a direct attack on our democracy and has left an indelible mark on American history. Instead of holding the insurrectionists accountable and restoring trust in our elections system, MAGA Republicans in the House continue to deny the results of the 2020 election and push an extreme radical agenda that further undermines our democracy, including the Big Lie Bill,” said Albert Fujii, spokesperson for Courage for America. “It’s time for Congress to choose the Constitution and their constituents over divisive MAGA extremism, the same extremism that stoked violence three years ago.”

WATCH: Workday (Rep. Jim Jordan)

January 6th for me started out as a normal work day

I responded to the Capitol because I heard other police officers screaming out for help

Getting to the threshold of the tunnel and seeing just tens of thousands of rioters,

It was like a scene out of medieval battle

One of the individuals pulled me out into the crowd of rioters

Beaten from every direction

People yelling out “grab his gun kill him with it”

That bullshit cannot happen again

[Jim Jordan], I did my job that day, when are you going to do yours?
