Florida Insurrectionist Pardoned by Trump Arrested on Gun Charges One Day After Release

WASHINGTON, DC — Just one day after President Donald Trump pardoned over 1,500 violent criminals involved in the January 6th insurrection, one of the convicted felons – Daniel Ball of Florida – has already been arrested on federal gun charges. Ball is a convicted felon due to past violence against law enforcement and domestic abuse who threw an explosive device at 25 police officers during the Capitol insurrection. A judge described Ball’s actions on January 6th as “some of the most violent and serious offenses of any of the charges being brought against participants in the January 6 events.”

Donald Trump let him go scot-free.

Courage for America has been warning that these pardons would release violent criminals, such as Ball, through our recent ad campaign, highlighting the fact that these newly freed rioters pose immediate danger to Floridians and Americans nationwide. Donald Trump has ensured that some of the most violent offenders are roaming the streets, foreshadowing more violence, and endangering innocent people.

We need our elected officials to call out this flagrant disregard for the rule of law to help prevent further political violence in our communities.
